My Deux Chevaux Corral Over The
Years
 |
"Brian" My
First Deux-Chevaux
To tell
the story of Charlie & Victor, we must first
turn the clock back to 1996, when I came by my
first Deux Chervaux. On the Channel Island of
Guernsey, "Brian" came to my attention.
Rotten with rust and barely alive, Brian took me
across France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy,
Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium & The
Netherland, before returning to the UK. He then
continued to be a faithful friend until he
finally died at the turn of the millennium. May
he now rest in peace, I'm sure Brian had a hand
in bringing Charlie to my attention. Brian
himself was a famous 2CV and featured on West
Country News as Screaming Lord Sutch shouted his
political message from his open roof. |

"Charlie Charlie"
My Current Deux-Chevaux
Following
in Brian's footsteps, Charlie also joined the
Loony Party and took off on the campaign trail.
His debut on the political scene was in June 2006
at the Blaenau Gwent By-Election. Following this
most enjoyable jaunt to Ebbw Vale in South Wales,
"Charlie" was completely rebuilt from
the chassis upwards, including a Geoff Archer
engine rebuild. He is now a beautiful yellow/black
Charleston design and is good for many years to
come. |

"Victor" My
Latest Deux-Chevaux
With
"Charlie" the Charleston fully restored
Victor came into my life. After 10 years stored
in a garage he was i reasonable condition, but as
usual for a 2cv a considerable amount of work
would still be needed to bring him up to road
standard. |
