The Big Bang is the first
novel in the Atlantis series. With the French government
planning to dump nuclear waste in the Atlantic ocean, the
protest ship ‘Environmental Challenger’ sails
into action. After demonstrations at the plant gates of
the Cap de la Hague nuclear power station cause a near
disaster, the dump-ship sails towards its designated
dumping ground. First though, they have to combat the
circle of inflatable boats in the harbour entrance and a
crazy American helicopter pilot. A combination of humour
and action keep this battle going all the way to doomsday
and back, while two grown men fight over half a woman.
