| PARTY AIMS: The Official Monster Raving Loony Party aims to bring a light-hearted and colourful atmosphere to the election process. Individual members are responsible for providing their own election deposits as required, and fund their own election campaigns. Members may only stand as official Loony candidates if the Party Leader/Nominating Officer accepts their request to do so. |
| PARTY ORGANISATION: The Loony Party Leader has always been the top Loony,and we see no reason why this shouldn't continue to be so. The leader will designate who the rest of the Superloo-nies are and retain the power of veto over all Loony decisions. The party officials and Lesser Loonies will perform their tasks within the guidlines of the Leader, and the Leader's decision on any matter will be final. |
| LOONY PARTY OFFICIALS (SUPERLOO-NIES): |
| LOONY PARTY LEADER: The Loony Party Leader is the ultimate Superloony. He/she is is the looniest of all loonies, and will thereby set the Loony Standards for all Loonies to follow. The Loony Leader also has the ultimate responsibility for the party, the appointment of Lesser Loonies and his/her decision will be final. |
| DEPUTY LEADER: The Deputy Loony Party Leader will do all those tasks the Loony Leader can't be bothered to do on a day-to-day basis. With the approval of the Loony Party Leader, the Deputy Party Leader will make decisions on day-to-day loonyism and thereby assist the leader to guide the party in it's loony direction. The Deputy Party Leader will also assume the leader's responsibilities if the leader becomes incapacitated due to illness, or at worst, death. |
| LOONY PARTY CHAIRMAN: The Loony Party Chairman is the third most important loony in the party. This Loony will thereby give support to the higher Loonies and will run the party on their behalf if anything happens to both of them. On a day-to-day basis, the Loony Party Chairman will, from their Loony Chair, assist the Leader & Deputy Leader in promoting Loonyism around the country, and the world. |
| LOONY PARTY SECRETARY: The Party Secretary of The Official Monster Raving Loony Party is the next in line and will have the most monsterous task of all. It will be this Loony's responsibility to co-ordinate the work of the Membership Secretary, Treasurer & Webmaster. It will be the Party Secretary's responsibility to ensure all relevant loonies receive their newsletters and are kept up-to-date on loony things. |
| LOONY PARTY TREASURER: The Loony Party Treasurer is the one who handles all the dosh, lolly, cash, money orders and all other presentations of funds received into and paid out of the loony bank account. This will include providing financial statements and reports to all party officials and government departements as required. |
| LOONY MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY: The loony who's loony enough to be the Membership Secretary will have the responsibility of writing down all the names and addresses of those members of the public who are loony enough to join the party. In the event of writer's cramp, or pure laziness, the Membership Secretary will be allowed to use a computer to assist in this onerous task. This loony will be responsible for processing new membership applications from fledgling loonies, as well as renewals of old loonies. All loony monies received by the Loony Membership Secretary will be forwarded to the Loony Treasurer for banking. |
| OFFICIAL LOONY PARTY WEBMASTER: The Webmaster will be the loony who has a few more loony brain cells, together with an inherent ability to fathom out the wonders of modern loony technology. The loony holding this office will co-ordinate The Official Monster Raving Loony Party's presence on the World Wide Web, and update the Monster Raving Loony Party website under the direction of the Party Secretary, Chairman, Deputy Leader and Party Leader. This web-wise loony will answer all simple email enquiries and pass on relevant emails to a more senior loony as required. |
| LOCAL LOONY BRANCHES AND BRANCH ORGANISERS: Local Branches of the Loony Party, and their organisers, will be limited to acting as information contacts. Local Branches will not run seperate membership lists and will not hold seperate funds on behalf of the party. All membership requests and party donations will be forwarded to the respective party officials. |
